Sierra Nevada, 2022

Sierra Nevada, Europe's southernmost ski resort, increases its range of restaurant offerings with "El Chalet Suizo by Quesos de Suiza". Divided into two areas: an interior space and a terrace/viewpoint, the project has integrated installations, lighting, decoration, graphic design, props and project management. It has involved a comprehensive rehabilitation of premises that had been in disuse since 2020. One of the objectives was to maintain harmony with the landscape using traditional building materials of the area such as wood or granite stone.

For the terrace/viewpoint, of more than 500 m2, it was zoned into a bar, lounge, hammocks and restaurant area. In addition to integrating a photocall with a #SayCheese corpóreo and a life-size fiberglass cow from which instagrammers can not escape the temptation to take a portrait.

In the interior, the protagonists are wood and the color red, with an elongated bench that uses as a backrest a divider with gridded lattices and on its sides silhouettes of a typical Swiss chalet. Another element that stands out is the colossal shelf above the bar, decorated with fictitious Swiss cheeses in large format and elements of natural materials such as wooden trays, ceramic vases, pots with plants, recycled glass oil cruets and glass bottles.

To complete the project, graphic elements such as the exterior signage, the posters with the menu, or on the interior walls where we can see large format images of the different varieties of cheese and neon signs with the names of the cheeses.
